"Da Funk 2" is an unreleased and scrapped track made by Daft Punk. It was first mentioned on a 2010 interview for the British magazineDazed & Confused (now known as simply Dazed) to promote the Tron: Legacy Soundtrack.[1] According to Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, the discarded song was made under pressure from label executives based on the duo success.[1]
“ | I think we’ve never talked about it… We really thought there was a formula [...] “Parp parp paaarp parp PARP!". I remember feeling we have to kill that stuff, and go the other way. | ” |
–de Homem-Christo, on the composition of the song |
Instead of continuing producing the track, the duo created "Rollin' & Scratchin'" instead.[1]
