"Drive" is a 1994 demo track given to Daft Punk's first record label, Soma, as a contender for their second single.

"The tape had originally been sent with 'Rollin' and Scratchin'' to be released as Soma25. But Soma asked these two bright-eyed and Techno-bound Frenchmen, to finish and send 'Da Funk' to accompany 'Rollin' and Scratchin' and DRIVE was shelved for a later date..."[1]

When sorting through old DATs, employees at Soma found a tape labeled "Daft Drive", which turned out to be the lost early recording. In 2011, the record label celebrated its 20th anniversary, and to commemorate the milestone the compilation album Soma Records – 20 Years was released on September 19, 2011, which included the lost track.

"Drive" is nearly 7 and a half minutes long and featured prominently altered vocals of Thomas and the heavy, bassy beat that is common with their earlier works.
